Last month, Fight for Schools sent a formal request to Virginia’s Superintendent of Public Instruction Jillian Balow, asking that she recommend to the Virginia Board of Education the removal of Loudoun County Superintendent Scott Ziegler.
In response, Superintendent Balow has confirmed by letter that her office is reviewing the allegations about Ziegler “in detail” and is awaiting further insight from the Office of the Attorney General.
Relatedly, Superintendent Ziegler blew off last night’s Board of Supervisors’ hearing where he was to answer questions on LCPS’s $1.6 billion budget request. To say that there was bi-partisan frustration from the supervisors about the lack of respect and professionalism from LCPS would be quite an understatement.
Maybe now the Board of Supervisors has a better idea on how Loudoun County parents have been treated by Superintendent Ziegler.
